Se analizó la diversidad de odonatos en el entorno de Velilla del Río Carrión (NO de Palencia) en relación con la temperatura del agua y la modificación del régimen hídrico por el embalse de Compuerto. Se compararon las comunidades del eje principal del río Carrión en tres tramos con dinámicas diferentes con respecto a un tramo del río Besandino, no influido por la presencia de un gran embalse cercano. Los resultados aportaron la presencia de 11 especies (6 zigópteros y 5 anisópteros) en 23 citas conseguidas entre junio y septiembre durante los años 2014 y 2015. Debido a la suelta de agua para riego en verano, la temperatura y caudal en el río Carrión se invirtieron por debajo del embalse y se relacionaron con una disminución de la riqueza específica de odonatos con evidencias de reproducción, indicada ésta por la presencia de larvas y exuvias. Justo aguas abajo de la presa de Compuerto, a pesar de ser un tramo extenso y variado, sólo se encontró una única especie de un ejemplar observado en vuelo y sin evidencias de reproducción, mientras que en el resto de zonas aparecieron un mayor número de especies e indicios de reproducción en todas ellas. El efecto térmico de una presa de menor entidad se mostró atenuado y no limitó del mismo modo la presencia de odonatos.

The diversity of odonata in the area around Velilla del Río Carrión (NW of Palencia) was analyzed in relation to the water temperature and the modification of the water regime by the Compuerto reservoir. The communities along the main axis of the Carrión river were compared in three sections with different dynamics with respect to a section of the Besandino river, not influenced by the presence of a large nearby reservoir. The results contributed the presence of 11 species (6 Zygoptera and 5 Anisoptera) in 23 records obtained between June and September during 2014 and 2015. Due to the release of water for irrigation in summer, the temperature and flow in the river Carrión were inverted below the reservoir and were associated with a decrease in the specific richness of odonata showing evidence of reproduction, indicated by the presence of larvae and exuviae. Downstream from the Compuerto dam, despite being a long and varied section, only one species was found of
a specimen observed in flight and with no evidence of reproduction, while in the rest of the areas a larger number of species appeared with signs of reproduction in all of them.
The thermal effect of a smaller dam was attenuated and did not restrict the presence of odonata in the same way.

espezie bakar baten ale bakar bat hegan ikusi zen, gainera ugaltzeko ebidentziarik gabea; aldiz, beste zonalde guztietan espezie kopuru gehiago agertu ziren eta guztietan ugaltze
zantzuak atzeman ziren. Tamaina txikiagoko urtegi baten eragin termikoa apalagoa izan zen eta odonatoen presentzian ez zuen modu berean eragin.
